Medical Sensor Data Platform

We built a comprehensive platform for tech2people GmbH to evaluate and visualize medical sensor data from Exoskeletons and various vitality devices, supporting patients and therapists in their daily therapy routines.

This scalable data platform includes integration with a tablet web app, which achieved seamless accessibility and usability for both patients and therapists. The tablet web app provides an intuitive interface for real-time data monitoring, ensuring that users can easily track progress and access vital information on the go. This integration also facilitated smoother communication between patients and therapists, allowing for timely adjustments to therapy plans and interventions. Overall, the tablet web app enhanced user engagement, increased the efficiency of therapy sessions, and contributed to better patient outcomes by making medical sensor data more accessible and actionable.

Our work involved designing and implementing an architecture to ensure reliability and performance. We achieved efficient ETL processes, data models, and databases, and developed anonymization and accessibility concepts to safeguard patient data privacy and ensure regulatory compliance.

The platform successfully streamlined data ingestion, processing, and visualization, enhancing the therapeutic process and improving the efficiency and personalization of therapy for patients and therapists.

Furthermore the platform enabled real-time tracking and after-session reporting within two minutes, enhancing therapy effectiveness.

Utilizing a tech stack that included TypeScript, Python, Docker, Azure, Angular, Azure Databricks, Azure App Service, and Dagster, we significantly improved the handling and visualization of medical data.
