RBTV Content Playout

We developed the content playout management platform for Red Bull TV’s online streaming service. This platform was used by Red Bull TV to deliver streaming content to millions of users worldwide.

The platform utilized a reactive microservice architecture and a distributed messaging infrastructure based on Apache Kafka.

Our team built the reactive microservice framework that powered the playout management platform as well as other internal services. This framework included common libraries and tools to enable the development of scalable, high-performance, fault-tolerant reactive microservices. Key capabilities included service discovery, monitoring, and messaging.

We also designed and built the distributed messaging infrastructure to enable event-driven communication between all services in the client architecture. Our messaging system supported reliable asynchronous messaging, at-least-once message handling, and transactional messaging. We created easy-to-use client libraries to abstract away the complexities of interacting with the messaging layer.
